Message from Dr. BJ Hardick (’01) Past President of The Life University Alumni Association (LUAA) Board of Directors, July 2023–June 2024 Reflecting on my years as a student at Life University from 1997 through 2001, I vividly remember my introduction to and dissection of the principles of Lasting Purpose. I remember the founder’s commitment to sharing the message of chiropractic globally. I recall a spirit of excellence — ensuring each graduating doctor would leave Life U with honed practices and principles that would improve their patients’ lives. I remember gathering with fellow students on and off campus to delve into the philosophy of vitalism that would govern how we would think, do, and act in the years that followed Life University. For over 20 years, these vital principles have held firm in my heart and mind — and when I’ve connected with colleagues over these two decades, they tell me the same. The principles and practices we learned at Life University have guided who many of us are today and therefore, shaped our success in health and life, as well as that of the patients we care for and the communities we serve. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t faced challenges over the past 20 years. These challenges, though, have been overcome with the principles of Innate and Lasting Purpose on our side.
