FROM THE PRESIDENT As I reflect on the remarkable journey of Life University over the past 50 years, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude. Our institution has grown from humble beginnings into a beacon of excellence in vitalistic health education, research and community engagement. This year’s Your Extraordinary Life magazine celebrates this milestone and serves as a testament to the vision, dedication and passion of everyone who has been part of our journey. The theme of this year’s magazine, “50 Years of Lasting Purpose,” is not just a celebration of our past but a powerful reminder of our commitment to the future. Our legacy is built on the foundation of innovation, leadership and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. This year, we have taken significant strides to further enhance our mission and impact. One of the key highlights of the past year was the establishment of CHARLI, The Complementary Healthcare Advanced Research and Leadership Institute. CHARLI represents our unwavering dedication to advancing whole-person health perspectives through rigorous scientific research and leadership training. By fostering community dialogue and providing robust infrastructure support, CHARLI empowers our students, faculty and community members with the skills and resources necessary to lead in the field of complementary health care. This institute is not just a milestone for Life University but a significant step forward in enhancing the human experience. Another monumental achievement last year was the inauguration of our Center for Veteran Services and Engagement. This center serves as a haven for our student veterans, offering them a safe space and the support they need to thrive both academically and personally. The opening of this center during the 2024 Summer Quarter continues to mark our commitment to honoring and supporting those who have served our country. It is a place where our veterans can find community, resources and the encouragement to pursue their extraordinary lives. In our continuous effort to provide cutting-edge care and education, we have introduced new Decompression Tables at the Life Chiropractic Centers. These advanced tables enhance our ability to offer effective care options to our patients, reinforcing our position as a leader in Chiropractic. Additionally, our NeuroLIFE Institute continues to make strides in applied neuroscience, offering specialized care for conditions such as traumatic brain injuries, concussions and vertigo. These advancements are a testament to our commitment to integrating the latest scientific discoveries into our clinical practices. Our alumni and friends have always been the heartbeat of Life U. This magazine is filled with stories that highlight the extraordinary contributions of our donors, the inspiring journeys of our students and faculty, and the achievements of our student-athletes and coaches. These narratives not only celebrate individual successes but also weave together the collective spirit that defines Life U. Life Vision Extravaganza (LVE) is always the significant event on our calendar. It held even more meaning as we celebrated our 50th anniversary with a Black-Tie Gala and honored those who laid the foundation for all of us who have since come to this special institution. The continued success and fun of LVE is a testament to the vibrant and dynamic community that we have built together. They are moments of reflection, celebration and inspiration, reminding us of the impact we have made and the endless possibilities that lie ahead. As we look to the future, we remain steadfast in our mission to empower our students to lead extraordinary lives. The past 50 years have been a journey of growth, learning and transformation. The next 50 years promise to be even more exciting as we continue to innovate, inspire and impact lives. Thank you for being an integral part of Life University’s journey. Your support, dedication and belief in our mission have been the driving force behind our success. Together, we will continue to build on our legacy and create a brighter, healthier future for all. With gratitude and excitement for the future, Dr. Rob Scott President, Life University Dear Alumni & Friends of Life University, 1 Alumni.life.edu | 2024
