Dave and Lynn were blessed with two children, Justin (Rachel) and Amanda a/k/a (Max) and two grandchildren, Noah and Natalie Charping, who are left to cherish Papa’s puns, jokes and stories. Dr. Charpring had a lifelong devotion to studying and teaching the Bible. A man of faith, he was proud of the fact that he had memorized all 150Psalms. Dave’s commitment to God was truly inspirational to those who knew him. Metro Ferrance, D.C. — Friend of Life University — Dr. Metro Ferrance, 85, of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Born August 5, 1937, in Barnesboro to Metro Ferrance, Sr. and Julia (Drotar) Ferrance, he moved to Philipsburg in 1964 to open his chiropractic practice, which he maintained until his retirement in 2005. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Carol (Reveal) Ferrance; and a sister, Yvonne Ferrance. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a faithful parishioner of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Hawk Run and a founding member of the Chiropractic Fellowship of Pennsylvania. He graduated from the former Barnesboro High School class of 1955. He attended the Moline Community College in Moline, Illinois, and he graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa in 1963. Howard Wasdin, D.C. (’07) & (’09) — Dr. Howard Wasdin was killed in a plane crash just off the runway at Wayne County’s William A. Zorn Airport on April 6, 2023. Dr. Wasdin was piloting the plane, which carried no human passengers. The only other occupant was a pet dog, who also did not survive, Sheriff Chuck Moseley reported. Dr. Wasdin was returning from Fernandina Beach, Florida, and trying to land when the crash occurred, according to Moseley. Dr. Wasdin was known locally for his Jesup chiropractic practice, Absolute Precision Chiropractic. Previously, he was a highly decorated Navy SEAL who had been involved in the 1993 Somalia operation dramatized in the movie Black Hawk Down. He later became a New York Times bestselling author for books based on or inspired by his experiences as a SEAL, as well as a sought-after motivational speaker. He was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry and the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in action. Dr. Wasdin was also highly active in his community, having volunteered his time and energy to the Boys and Girls Club of America, the Boy Scouts of America, the Georgia Chiropractic Association and much more. Eileen Zebrowitz — Eileen Frances Zebrowitz, age 72, of Marietta, GA passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at her residence. Zebrowitz was an Administrative Assistant to the Dean for the College of Chiropractic for Life University for many years before she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Selma Cardonick. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Thomas Zebrowitz; son and aughter-in- law David & Lesley Zebrowitz; daughter Michele Zebrowitz and significant other Jimmy Upshaw; brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Lynn Cardonick; sister Isabell Cardonick and significant other Michael Mayer; and grandchild Sadie Zebrowitz. Richard Bend, D.C. (’00) — Dr. Richard L. Bend passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 58, in Columbus, Michigan. He was born on November 23, 1964, to Dr. Richard L. and Barbara A. (Schulz) Bend in Iowa City, Iowa. Loving father of Mitchell, Rachel and Kyle; loving son of Barbara and the late Dr. Richard L.; edear brother of Dr. Eve (Dr. Allen Robinson) Bend, Dr. Amy (Richard Giuli) Bend and Dr. Ronald Bend; proud uncle of Dominic and Chandler Giuli; dear nephew of Bonnie Bagan and cousins of Julie and Mike. Dr. Bend was the only third-generation doctor to practice on the Central Coast. Suzan Rossi, D.C. (’81) — Dr. Suzan Rossi, age 67, crossed into the light March 6, 2023, surrounded by her family, at her home in Acworth, Georgia. She was born July 3, 1955, to Mary Louise (Whitson) and W. Robert Resler at a U.S. Army base in Munich, Germany. While dating Armand Rossi, her future husband, Suzan attended the chiropractic seminar “Dynamic Essentials. Chiropractic called to Suzan — through loving, through serving, through supporting the innate healing of the human body. After her marriage in 1974, she followed this calling and moved to Marietta, Georgia to attend Life College of Chiropractic to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic. A few years and two children later (December 1981), Dr. Rossi graduated with honors from the program.
